I'm Wei-Wei Chen, a Taiwanese illustrator/textile designer. I graduated from the department of Textile and Clothing (Textile Design Section) at Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. And I’m currently a second year student in the MFA in Visual Studies Program at Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

I create narrative illustrations and character-based stories, with a variety of forms and possibilities. Taking my experience with textile design and pattern design to my advantage, I always use a lot of texture and pattern design to enrich the visuals in my illustrated work. In doing so, I experimented with a variety of techniques such as risograph, digital collage, and screenprinting in order to incorporate the distinct texture of traditional art into my digital illustrations.
